Update #9: BackerKit Going Up, Wall Scrolls, and Steam Direct!

Hello again, everybody! Ryechu here, and this time, we have a HUGE update!

So during our radio silence, we have been working on a ton of logistics! But first, a quick apology. We were hoping to send out surveys last week, but those ended up being somewhat delayed due to some issues on our end. However, that is the first piece of news!

BackerKit Surveys are now shipping out!

Please note that it may take a couple days to get your survey. When you receive your survey, you will additionally have the opportunity to add extra copies of the game (to give to friends!) or other goods to your order. As a reminder, PayPal is an option if you’d like to purchase additional items!

If you purchased or received a wall scroll as part of your reward, you will need to put your shipping information on BackerKit when asked. If you live outside of the United States, please be aware that, while your pledge includes the costs to ship the wall scroll, it does not include any Customs or VAT charges that may be incurred in your country of residence. If those apply to you, we apologize in advance! All wall scrolls (including those shipped internationally) will be shipped via USPS.

Speaking of wall scrolls...

Here is the final draft of the wall scroll!

Those who have been keeping a close eye on us may have already noticed this image on our Pre-Order page, but now we can say this is the official final draft! While the final size has not yet been determined, we are looking most likely at a 60cm x 84cm wall scroll. (23.6” x 33”). This is a popular size from the group we are ordering from, and will look good anywhere! Lasterk did the art, and it looked like he had a good time doing it~

Steam Direct is a go!

So, if you haven’t heard, Steam Greenlight was discontinued shortly after we put up our campaign. Because of this timing, W!?MNAD!!? was not greenlit. However, we were immediately approved (less than 24 hours) on Steam Direct! As a result, we will now be giving everybody a Steam copy of the game, as well as a patch (with instructions!) that will give you the full, uncensored, 18+ Director’s Cut!

As a reminder, a direct download of the Director’s Cut will also be made available via BackerKit, for those who don’t like or cannot use Steam.

Update #8 - Steam Greenlight, and Other Updates!

Hey, everybody! Ryechu here. Sorry for the late update... again. The holiday weekend took me away from the computer; however, we have some updates to go through, so let's get to work!

BackerKit and Surveys

 

Okay, so let's go through the easy stuff first. We will begin sending out surveys around June 8th. If you added to your original pledge on Kickstarter for something, please wait until we send out the surveys to add that in so you don't get double charged! Unless you want two of something, then all the power to you!

If you have friends who didn't back during the Kickstarter, but still want in on the discounted goodies before the release, direct them to this link! OR, if you wanted to add a Wall Scroll, an OST, or anything else to your order, this is where you'll do it, too! Using the store, you can create a custom order as well! Didn't want the OST, but definitely wanted the Art Book? You can do that here!

Steam Greenlight!

 

Here's the super secret mission that we need everybody's help with. We put up a Greenlight campaign to get an "All-Ages" version of W!?MNAD!!? on Steam! Now, before you go into the comments and start to freak out, read the following:

If this Greenlight is successful, we will release the "All-Ages" version of this nukige on Steam. Everybody will receive a redemption code on Steam, as well as the 18+ patch that you can apply over this version to get the full "Director's Cut!" However, we have a few plans for the "All-Ages" version that some of you may appreciate the humor of.

Now, read it again. Regardless of what platform(s) we release on, you will get a copy of the full, uncensored, 18+ "Director's Cut" version of the game that contains EVERYTHING WE WILL DO.

We will release a DRM-Free installer version (via BackerKit) to all backers, regardless of whether or not the game is Greenlit. This will install the 18+ "Director's Cut" version. We know that some people don't like/can't use Steam, and we understand! The game will be available as a standalone version to all of our backers! However, if the game is successfully Greenlit, everybody who backed at the $12 tier or higher will receive a copy of the game on Steam, as well as the 18+ patch! If the game is not Greenlit, we will give all of our backers keys that can be redeemed on MangaGamer!

So, I'll spell it out a different way, just in case it's not clear:

• If the game is Greenlit on Steam, we will have a standalone 18+ downloadable version available through BackerKit, and everybody who backed at the $12 tier or higher will receive a Steam key, as well as the 18+ patch that can be applied to the Steam version!
• If the game is NOT Greenlit on Steam, we will have a standalone 18+ downloadable version available through BackerKit, and everybody who backed at the $12 tier or higher will receive a Mangagamer key, which will be the 18+ version.

Update on the Dakimakura Tiers

How about a WIP image for one of the chibi dakis? I like dakis. They're shiny. If these are something you might be interested in, you will have the option to upgrade your tier when the surveys go live!

Update #7: The Final Countdown!

We are in the final hours of the Kickstarter, and it has definitely been a crazy ride. We thank everybody for everything, and look forward to being able to give you an excellent game that your mothers would definitely approve of ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

Okay, here are all the updates you need to know:

1) We hit the final stretch goal of $22,500! Essentially, our original vision (and everything else we wanted to add) is going to be made a reality! We've already talked about the slightly extended deadline to October/November in a previous update. That shouldn't change barring something insane happening.

2) We will be utilizing BackerKit and opening Pre-orders after the end of the Kickstarter! This will include the ability to purchase a wallscroll, if you would like! The OST, Art Book, and additional copies of the game will also be available for pre-order! The prices have not changed. Paypal will an available option through BackerKit!

3) We will be sending out surveys a couple weeks after the end of the Kickstarter to get any relevant information that's needed, especially for our backers who are getting a Wallscroll!

4) We will need all of your help with a super secret mission. More details about that tomorrow (we're finishing up the logistics on that right now)!

Anyway, we love each and every last one of you, and we hope that you'll love everything we do! We'll keep up on doing updates (they'll probably be a bit sporadic from time to time, but I will try to get us on some sort of schedule!) with everything we're doing! And for those who have noticed a lack of images... It's a nukige!

Update #6: 300% of our goal? Y'all...

Hello, friends!

Ryechu here! Tomorrow night, our Kickstarter will end. It's been a wild ride! We'll post another update before the end talking about what's next. You've seen a few things we're going to do, but we'll make sure everything is listed so everybody knows our game plan!

We hit $20,000 with time to spare! The "Divine" Expansion is a go! When we originally wrote the storyboards for W!?MNAD!!?, we had a larger cast; however, we realized that in order to have such a large cast, we would need a lot of extra work. Well, we have the funding for that, so we're gonna do it! As a reminder, the Director's Cut is ONE game. These expansions are adding to the main title! No extra purchases necessary!

Since then, however, we've came up with more ideas. Things we really want to see added to the Divine Expansion. That will be our final stretch goal: A "Diviner" Divine Expansion. If we hit $22,500 during this campaign, we're going to let all of our new ideas get into the game! If you really want to see Selene end up in the middle of a war, you'll want this tier!

THAT ALL SAID...

With all of this extra work that you have given us (which is something we are more than ready to take on!), we're going to have to delay the release a little bit. Right now, we're advertising a September release. While we will work our butts off to try to make that window, there's a good chance we'll be looking at something closer to a end-of-October/early-November release. That just gives us enough time to make sure this product is polished and exactly what we want our players to read and enjoy!

We also updated the sketch for the wallpaper a bit, based on some feedback. More legs, anybody? As a reminder, this Wallscroll is available right now at the $85 tier, and will be available after the Kickstarter via BackerKit for $35! Shipping will be included!

Here is the WIP for the Wall Scroll created by Lasterk! This is not the final image, and is subject to change. This will be printed as a B1 Size Wallscroll, and will be perfect for hanging anywhere in your house... or room... or dungeon... or... wherever you want to hang things.
